METHOD: Preheat oven to 190C/fan 170C/gas five. Lightly grease a baking dish. Butter one facet of each piece of bread, then cut the slices into triangles.
Place 1/2 of the bread buttered facet up, covering the base of the baking dish. Sprinkle sultanas and sugar onto the bread, then location the final bread on the pinnacle, buttered aspect up.
In a saucepan over a medium warmness, heat the milk until almost boiling. Remove from the warmth and integrate with the eggs, stirring vigorously.
Pour the mixture over the bread and allow it to soak for ten mins—grate nutmeg over the pinnacle. Bake inside the middle of the oven for 45 minutes until set and gently browned.

600g mixed berries (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, redcurrants, sliced strawberries)
2 ripe peaches or nectarines, stoned and diced
three tbsp sugar, or to taste
150ml cranberry juice
8 skinny slices white bread or wholemeal bread (about 200g in total), ideally 1-2 days antique
METHOD: Crush the distinct kinds of fruit for my part, making sure all the skins are damaged, and the fruit is pulpy.
Put all the fruit in a massive bowl with the sugar and cranberry juice and stir to combine. Leave to melt for 2 hours. Cut the crusts from the bread and reduce the slices into strips or triangles.
Fit the bread into a 1-liter pudding basin to line the bottom and sides, reserving sufficient bread to cowl the pinnacle. Fill in any gaps with small bits of bread.
Reserve three-four tbsp of juice from the blended fruit, then lightly pour the fruit combination into the bread-coated pudding basin. Top with the ultimate bread.
Cover with a plate that just fits inside the rim of the basin, putting it immediately on top of the bread, after which area a heavyweight inclusive of a can of meals on the pinnacle.
Place the basin in the refrigerator to chill for eight hours or in a single day. To serve, turn the pudding out directly to a serving dish. Use the reserved fruit juice to brush or pour over any parts of the bread which have no longer been colored.

METHOD: In a big mixing bowl, beat the eggs. Add the milk, brown sugar, vanilla, and nutmeg, and stir properly to combine.
Soak bread slices within the egg combination till saturated (in case you want to be fancy, you could reduce them into shapes or use a bowl to make circular-shaped bread).
Heat a gently oiled frying pan over medium-high warmth. Brown slices on both sides, sprinkle with cinnamon, and serve warm, topped with berries.
